The not so abandoned warehouse - Saturday

So. Barry was definitely Barry this weekend. In fact he wasn't even a berry.

He wasn't sure why the island had decided not to fuck with him this weekend but since it didn't he was going to take full advantage of it.

So he was situated in his lab studying his sensors trying to puzzle out what the fuck was going on.

Raven hadn't changed either. She'd been tempted to pretend she had, but couldn't think of a good enough backstory for it.

"Oh good," she said, coming in. "You're still you."

She assumed. He looked the same, and he was doing very Barry like things.

"And you're still you, I assume?" Barry asked. "Unless you think I'm someone else."

God forbid she thought he was a baker from district twelve.

Maybe if they swapped hair colors.

"Same old Raven Darkholme," Raven said. "I don't know what's going on. It's like last spring when people started turning into different versions of themselves, only it's, like, everyone."

And the connections were much, much looser. Not that Raven had any reason to have noticed that.

"Yeah well, my sensors aren't getting shit," Barry grumbled. "Hopefully this is a weekend thing because I got shit."

"It wasn't last time." Raven wasn't super helpful here, no. "There was a whole . . . thing we had to do."

"Tell me it's not hugging..."

"No, I'd remember that." And she blocked out a fair amount of this adventure. "It was this whole thing with doors? I got, uh. Lost. I didn't see the end of it."

"Doors?"

Barry frowned.

"Yeah, maybe I'll wait until Monsday and see if everything is still fucked up. You want Pizza?"

"That's probably a good plan," Raven agreed. "And I'm a teenager. I always want pizza."

Kathy knew what was going on this weekend and her first thought was 'Oh god, Barry's lab.' If Barry was anyone other than Barry, then something very, very bad could happen. She didn't know whatall he had for defenses, but every time he mentioned them, he got really serious about them.

Which was why she was heading for his warehouse at top speed. If Barry was someone entirely different, she needed to figure out what--if anything--she could do to keep it anyone from wandering into it unwittingly.

"You're still Kathy, right?" Barry said through the comm system outside the door.

"You know me!" Kathy said, looking relieved. "Oh good! I was worried I was going to have to spend the weekend knocking people out of the way of lasers or something ridiculous."

And then she facepalmed. "Awww. I can't believe I just threw away an opportunity to troll you."

Stupid innate honesty.

"No that's just every other Tuesday," Barry snarked. "And watch what you say. The island might fuck with you and make you a troll just because you said that."

"Then I'll fit right in with everyone else this weekend," Kathy said, looking manifestly unconcerned about her possible incipient trollhood. "You up for company? I brought lunch."

Kathy had shown up expecting a stakeout. Her entire backpack was filled with food and it seemed like the perfect time to introduce Barry to banchan.

"...The island is going nuts and you stopped to pick up lunch?"

"If I had a dollar for every time the island went nuts, I might be able to rival your net worth, Barry." Kathy was making faces at the camera now. "Why should I go hungry because it's another weekend where everyone forgets who they are?"

"Point. Doors are unlocked. I also ordered pizza," Barry replied.

Call it instinct - when unsure of his terrain, Arthur was going to head for a deserted warehouse. Someplace with plenty of room to play, but defensible entrances.

When the first one he tried proved to have locks beyond state-of-the-art, his focus abruptly changed. If there was something that well-guarded here, he needed to find out what it was.

Keeping an eye on his surroundings, he knelt down to get a better look and started trying to hack the lock.

"You'll have better luck if you knock," Barry said over the comm next to the door.

Damn. Should've known there'd be surveillance, but he hadn't seen anything. "Why?" he asked, using his body to hide his gun as he held it at the ready, looking around. "Would you let me in?"

"Well you look like someone I know," Barry said cautiously. "But now I'm not thinking you are."

"That depends," Arthur hedged. "Who do you think I am?" Was this a trick, or was he not the only dreamer caught up here?

Ha. No. "Someone who doesn't belong here," he shot back. Whether he was familiar or not, that could be true.
